Cover it up.
Don’t let anybody see that you are sad, because obviously then something is wrong with you.
But what happens when the world sucks? Do you just have to pretend? Pretend that everything is perfect?
Maybe you don’t pretend it’s perfect, but you’d rather look away, shun those thoughts rather than address the terror you might feel about it.
Maybe you would rather turn your attention to something simple and mindless that you can convince yourself to be happy about. Something as far away from the world’s problems as it can be.
But what happens when the world suckage directly affects you? When you can’t look away from the fear and hurt in the world?
Will you freeze?
Or will you be able to do something about it?
